Picks Right Up!
Heal Me, Love Me is the second book in the Off the Mat Duet,, and it picks up exactly where Fight Me, Break Me left us.
After that cliffhanger, I was hoping we would jump right back into the story and we sure did! I also liked that the focus wasn’t solely on Rowan and what was happening with him. We were able to move forward and continue watching their story unfold.
Unlike the first book, Fight Me, Break Me, this time around we get to lean more into Rowan and Keaton’s relationship instead of moving between past and present to see how they ended up where we first found them. I enjoyed both of these characters, and they balance each other out so well.
Of course, things weren’t smooth sailing, because what fun would that be? But our guys handled what life threw at them, and it was a treat to see them grow both individually and as a couple.
This book is well written and is best read in order. Mason, as a supporting character, was absolutely brilliant, and here’s hoping his story is up next.
