Annoyingly Wishy-Washy.
A.K. Evans tested my patience with Tate and Ava, who I found to be one of the most indecisive couples I've encountered in a while.
Tate Westwood is a driven, no-nonsense guy. As a workaholic, he rarely has time for a social life outside of his large family gatherings. Ava, who has been on his radar since he was seventeen and she was fifteen (his sister’s best friend), remains an enigma. Despite years of flirtation, they never fully address their feelings. Ava is equally career-focused and, to be honest, just as frustrating. She constantly overanalyzes her feelings for Tate without ever expressing them to him.
As a fan of the Westwood series, the family dynamics ultimately saved the book for me. It was enjoyable to see how the story progressed and to catch up with Tate's brothers and their partners.
The book is well written, though I'll admit to skimming a bit due to the repetitive internal dialogue. I appreciate angst in a story, but this was a bit too much for my taste. While Wild Heart can be read as a standalone, it’s definitely more fun when read within the series.

A.K. EVANS is a contemporary romance author of over forty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!
When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.
