This story has pain, grief, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Halo and Bane's story. Halo has lived a hard life that was full of pain. Bane believes she is a gold digger when the family takes her in. She proves him wrong but while he ahtes her he was also falling for her. Will he be able to win her over? Will the family accept them being together? After all she was with his brother first. Or will he have to let her go?

I recommend this book.

Abbi Glines has a brand new series out, the Mississippi Smoke series and what a way to introduce us this next line of her southern mafia. Tore Up, the first, introduces us to Halo and Bane, and y'all, their story isn't one you'll forget. Their journey was complicated, intense, angsty af, steamy and loaded up with all the feels. This was a good one and kept me reading until the very last page.

I look forward to the next in series y'all.
