BLURB.

Sebastian
The broken girl that Mo brought to the clubhouse had me wanting to save her from herself and anyone else that dare hurt her from the moment I saw her. Now it’s my personal mission to find the bastard that did this to her and make him suffer worse than he can possibly imagine. I’m trying to piece this broken soul back together with my own two hands, but can we really withstand the trauma she’s been through or are we doomed before we even begin?

Bristol
Most girls at seventeen are thinking about college, parties, what boy they want to go to prom with. Me? I was thinking of a way to escape my new reality. I was kidnapped before I could make any of those normal seventeen year old girl decisions. Instead of normal, I was held in a concrete room and forced to become a toy for my own personal version of Satan for six long years. Then my new reality took a turn. I was rescued. SAVED. But at what cost?

I'm Torn...

When it was all said and done I wasn't sure what to think of this new to me author and the story of Bristol and Sebastain. Such heavy subject matter combined with insta-lust made for complicated feelings.

Sebastian meets Bristol after she's rescued from a kidnapper, she's been stuck with for six long years. She was taken when she was just seventeen, and now she's finally free, landing in the hands of a motorcycle club—luckily, a pretty chill one. This was a nice change from the usual MC reads that are full of club whores and over-the-top alpha males, which was perfect for the sensitive subject matter here.

There’s instant chemistry between Sebastian and Bristol, which felt a bit rushed given the serious nature of her past. As mentioned, it’s one of those things that’s tough to swallow when the story’s moving quickly. I felt she needed time to heal and digest all of the news she's recently learned about the past six years before making it all about Sebastian.

We follow Sebastian and Bristol on a journey of healing, love, and finding themselves, while meeting the rest of the club along the way. Bristol, despite her traumatic past, comes off as a strong character with a surprising edge. And Sebastian, who also had a tough upbringing, is drawn to her in a big way.

The book’s well-written, though it has a few awkward spots. It’s unclear if this is the start of a series, but the author does a great job introducing the supporting characters and making them intriguing. Bristol’s story feels like a standalone but ends pretty abruptly, so it’s hard to say if there’s more to come with the MC.
