BLURB.

I always believed in fairy tales, but he preferred horrors.

Damian Blackstone didn’t care about my existence. He came into my world for one reason only. He came to find answers about his past.

He moved like the villain in my favorite fairy tales. He wasn’t the one who received the happily ever afters; he was the one who destroyed them.

Which was why I couldn’t understand why the man who raised me set it up in his will for Damian and me to be married. I wasn’t certain I’d be able to live with a man like Damian. We were as opposite as any two people could be. I loved to bathe in the sunlight while he prospered in the shadows.

I didn’t think I’d develop feelings for the one who looked at me as if I were nothing more than a means to an end. Yet in his darkness, sometimes I’d see sparks of light. I’d see gentleness. I’d see his soul.

We became entangled with one another as we fell into mistakes and called them fate. I was his Cinderella, and he was my Beast.

I wasn’t certain that twisted fairy tales ended with happily ever afters.
Still, I was determined to find out.

MY REVIEW.

5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love Conquers All

What a beautiful wordsmith Brittainy Cherry is. Her books have been a favorite of mine since Loving Mr. Daniels and even though I'm not the mushy type, I am all in with her mushy lines.

This is a semi-heavy story about love and loss. A little boy lost in the system that grows into a jaded man that trusts nobody and a little girl lost in a different way that grows up accepting people no matter what they do or say to her. She is a good person, one that gets taken advantage of to her own detriment most of the time. Now these two heavy souls are forced together and while we all know what is going to happen, unpacking the past keeps it very interesting.

"What happened when my darkness met her light?"

The is what we are waiting for...how is this even going to work with everything that is surrounding them. They each have a small support system, him is friend Connor, who is an absolute delight and her Gram, also a doll. These two characters brought the funny into this mostly serious storyline. I liked Damian and Stella right off the bat. There is nothing better than two broken people finding and helping each other see the way. Grams is a character that I am starting to become fond of. One that uses that "mumbo jumbo voodoo stuff" that appreciates and make sense of the world around her. She's there to help and help she does.

The book is beautifully written and again, I am taken by the words of Brittainy Cherry. She was a stand out author to me years ago and still to this day. Her characters aren't perfect, but perfect for each other when it's all said and done. We get all the emotions with this read as well as a little twist to keep us on our toes. Western Waves reads as a standalone with a nice little epilogue to wrap things up.
