Nothing Like the Cocky Rockstar

Enemies to one night lovers to parents, equals one crazy ride, which is exactly what Christina Hovland gives her readers with Knocked up by the Rockstar. This is book two in the series and I missed book one, however didn't feel too left out. Bax and Courtney are up this time and boy do they have some major situations to figure out.

Bax and Courtney grew up together and he is her brothers best friend slash bandmate. They have a love hate relationship and as the publicist for the band, Courtney knows exactly how much trouble Bax can be. Knowing that, she still leapt into bed with him one time and the inevitable happened. Time for the rockstar to grow up.

I liked the good cop, bad cop dynamic going on with these two. He was more lighthearted, so of course she had to be the stoic one, but the back and forth was hilarious at times. While a serious situation, they used a lot of humor to figure things out which made it more fun to read. Bax was all in from the get go and it was a nice change from the usual rocker turned dad storyline.

The book is well written with a little bit of everything thrown in. Along with Courtney and Bax, seemed like all bandmates and friends were present and accounted for to help move the story along. Knocked up by the Rockstar read well as a standalone with a little epilogue to wrap things up. Looks like Knox and Irina are up next.

Well this is my very first Christina Hovland book and what a romance! I'm a huge rockstar so finding someone who writes it oh so good is like kryptonite. In this beauty, we have not only the rockstar trope but we have a couple more than had me hook, line and sinker... surprise baby, enemies to lovers, etc... Hovland hooked me hard and fast with this baby and whoa what a story.

Knocked Up by the Rockstar is the second standalone in the Mile High series, giving us Bax and Courtney's journey and y'all this was unexpected in moments and so so good. Cute, sweet, worth all of it. I mean it had great, funny better.. steam.. angst.. heat.. and packed to the brims with heart and all of the feels.

I might've started with the second but I'll definitely be going back to check out the first in this series and looking for future releases.

I totally recommend this book.
