“You may kiss the bride,” Father Ward announces after Declan and I exchange the rings that Mrs. Cleary delivered to the church upon hearing the news.
Declan’s hands find my waist and I suck in a breath, already dizzy from the rows of people staring at us, straining to catch a glimpse of our union, one built on past hurts and future hopes.
The corner of Declan’s mouth quirks up. His eyes blaze, not with the confusion of earlier, but with a yearning I feel bone-deep. Cute, Solid Romance
Once again I have jumped into a series blind. As in, I haven't read any of the Boston Hawks Hockey series, but really enjoyed the story of Declan and Vivi.
While they had history, it was fun to get to know Declan and Vivi while they got to know each other again as well. There is some heartache along the way, however Gina Azzi took it easy on the couple and made them pretty drama free for the most part.
The book is well written, a quick, sweet love story if you will. Along with Declan and Vivi, we are surrounded by his teammates and thier respective others, as well as Vivi's best friend who adds the comedic value the books needs. The Trailblazer reads nicely as a standalone, with a great peek into the future.
