Another Gooooooooal!!

So far so good with this Hockey Hotties series! While I wasn't too sure about this handsome Russian when I started the book, he ended up growing on me just like he grew on the beautiful, yet insecure Paisley.

We met both Paisley and Maksim in the first Hockey Hottie book and now we get to delve in to what makes him the most ornery guy on the ice. While they met with a brief kiss on New Years Eve, Maksim and Paisley both felt there was something more, however that something more went out the door as she sat across from him as the new team therapist.

We hit the ice running with these two. Lots of flirting and sexual innuendos right off the bat and of course the will she, won't she angst. I wasn't a huge fan of Paisley. As a therapist, I wish she would have looked closer at herself instead of all of the doubt she carried and the hoops she made Maksim constantly jump though. He's a hot hockey player, if ya can't handle it, move on!

Now Maks on the other hand, loved this guy! Not how he had to constantly talk Paisley off the ledge, but how he was a fierce protector of his team and a huge family man. He was an all around sweetheart when he wasn't on the ice or in the penalty box for roughing the other team up.

The book is well written and predictable, however I loved the little curves that were thrown in to keep us readers on our toes. I also love that the team is always present and accounted for, so it isn't hard to go right to the next book. Which brings us to Ford, a guy with way more going on that what you see on the surface. I feel his story is going to be pretty interesting.
