“When I say no one ever wants to share pizza with me, I’m not kidding,” Hardy says as he picks up a piece from our shared pie. The Uber dropped us off at a hole-in-the wall Italian place downtown, and we may as well be in Lady and the Tramp, just minus the spaghetti. “They always say pineapple isn’t supposed to be on pizza, but I don’t agree.”
“I’ve never had just pineapple, it’s always accompanied by ham or pepperoni, but I’m not opposed to this. It’s sweet, and the side of barbeque sauce is a nice surprise.”
“Good, right?” Hardy asks, waggling his brows.
“I would say more along the lines of interesting.”
“Hey, I’ll take it,” he says with a smile. “Maple never liked pineapple on pizza.”
Which makes me a better fit for Hardy than she is, but we’re not going to mention that or make this a competition because Maple is actually really sweet.
But just for my own personal record and satisfaction...ha, Maple, I can share a pizza with Hardy, and you can’t.
Okay, pettiness is over.
“Shame,” I say. “Because it’s good. The dipping sauce I’m still adjusting to.”
“Hang out with me some more and I’ll win you over.” He winks.
Boy, you have already won me over.
You won me over months ago.
After he swallows and takes a sip of his drink, he says, “So, tell me about your day.”
“Pretty sure you know about my day,” I say.
“Yeah, but you’re not eating dinner alone tonight, so act like I don’t know anything about what happened today.”
Well...that makes my heart nearly beat out of my chest as I look into his perfectly blue eyes. With comments like that, he’s making it next to impossible for me to even think about anyone else but him.

My New Favorite Coupling!!
Once again—Meghan Quinn has solidified her place as one of my all-time favorite authors! Her books never fail to evoke the full spectrum of emotions, making me laugh out loud time and time again! Hardy and Everly may have also taken the top spot as my favorite couple! We met Everly in the first book of the series and Hardy along the way, but this time it’s all about them.
I loved both Hardy and Everly right off the bat. While there’s a slight age gap, they bantered beautifully and that is one thing that brings me back to Meghan Quinn’s books every time…the witty banter! Whether it’s text, emails or this time around spam emails, they are freaking hilarious! As witty as Hardy was, Everly was there with her own brand of humor that made these two perfect! Too bad Hardy asked Everly to help him reconnect with an old girlfriend…awkward for sure, but she makes the best of the situation. The only problem, she couldn’t help falling for him herself.
Chapter after chapter we are with these two main characters watching them connect and get closer, only to know the happy ending for them wasn’t what was originally in the cards. Whenever Hardy’s ex dissed him, I silently cheered as I wanted him with Everly so much more.
The book is well written and again chock full of witty text and email exchanges. Another mark of Meghan Quinn is the overlapping characters and them constantly inserting themselves into everybody else’s business. Bridesmaid Undercover reads beautifully as a standalone, however it’s much more fun when read within the series. Hardy's brother Husdon is up next and I can't wait to see the trouble he finds himself in.
