Take Me To The Edge by Kaci Rose is NOW LIVE!!
ABOUT THE BOOK.
She’s my best friend’s wife. I made him a promise I never thought I’d have to keep.
Now I’m about to dishonor him in the worst possible way…
River
I thought the hardest thing I’d ever have to do was bury my husband, my best friend, and the father of the child growing inside me.
Little did I know my husband asked his friend Storm to watch over me should anything happen.
Now that the worst has happened, or so I thought, Storm has me moved in with him.
A cabin in the Montana woods seems like a great place to hide for the battle ahead of us plus now the pesky pregnancy hormones have me feeling the kinds of things I should be for Storm.
I bet that poor man can’t wait to get rid of me…
Storm
My life in the mountains was simple and quiet… until River.
When my best friend Jason made me promise to take care of his pregnant wife, I never imagined I’d have to keep it.
Now, the woman I promised to protect, is under my roof and under my skin.
But not everyone seems ready to let Jason rest in peace and River might be the one to pay the price.
I made a vow to protect her and I will do whatever it takes to keep that promise, even if it means letting her go and having her take my heart with her…

MY REVIEW.
4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In Take me to the Edge, we meet Storm and River (I like these names, but together they sounded odd as I read), she is a little girl lost and he is a retired military alpha looking to live a quiet life in Montana.
The little girl lost is the feeling I got from River, although she was in her early twenties. She was a child of the foster care system and married her high school sweetheart and it seemed like she lived a bit of a sheltered life. Storm was River’s husbands’ best friend and after his medical discharge from the military, he set up home in Montana surrounded by his friends. Storm promised his buddy he would take care of his wife if anything happened to him and that’s exactly what he finds himself doing with a newly pregnant and alone River.
Again, predictable but I felt it played out sweet in the few pages the story line had to develop. At times it felt rushed, however I liked the relationship forming between River and Storm. We get a little bit of angst with River’s in-laws, but nothing that isn’t settled quickly.
The book is well written and reads well as a standalone. I don’t know what number this is in the series, but we are given a quick rundown of all previous characters and it feels like a series I might go back and check out. There’s set up for the next book and a nice epilogue that peeks into the future of Storm and River.
MEET KACI ROSE.
