π NEW RELEASE π
WORTH THE WAIT, a small-town, second chance, forced-proximity romance, by Evey Lyon is NOW AVAILABLE!!
BLURB.
Ford Spears, star hockey player, is ready to grab the only goal he has ever wanted; a second chance with the mother of his child…
For our son. That’s the explanation my hockey-playing ex gave as to why we needed to spend time as a family at his lake house in the small town where it all began. What I didn’t expect was to show up and discover our son is spending another week at camp, and we are all alone. Oh, and fake a relationship to fulfill his old lady’s wish, too. I realize Ford is on the mission I always feared;
Win me back.
But our past is filled with heartache and regret. It’s going to take a lot more than a few strolls down memory lane or romantic boat rides on the lake to overcome the past. And don’t get me started on the man refusing to wear a shirt around the house. He wants us to have one week together to show we could have it all, but I know that’s not a good idea. Not when I don’t know who believes in us more. Now we are both wondering if being together was always worth the wait…
Ford and Brielle bring the feels and steam in this second chance, completely swoon worthy, forced proximity story. Worth the Wait is book three in the standalone interconnected Lake Spark series. For lovers of small-town romance with a touch of sports.

MY REVIEW.
4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overly Sweet Romance.
In Worth the Wait, we get to see what in the world happened with Ford and Brielle in the past that put them in the situation they’re in now, ten years down the road.
Ford is a star hockey player that has finally retired and is ready to live his life. He shares a ten-year-old son with Brielle, who put her life on hold so Ford could live out his dream. Now it’s her turn to go for it, however Ford has other plans for her.
I liked Ford and I liked Brielle, however I didn’t like their relationship. These two were going on thirty years old and were as wishy-washy as they were in high school about things. There was so much dancing around and worrying about what everybody else would think, it got a little boring at times. They were pretending to be engaged for some old woman friend of theirs, all the while hiding it from their son. It was too much at times.
“There is a pause as we both stand there as two former lovers trying to find our road forward.”
Don’t get me wrong, the book is beautifully written, however there wasn’t enough angst in the storyline for my liking. These series/standalone/small town books are always fun when previous characters are involved adding the humor that a sappy story like this needs, which we get from Ford’s neighbor. While not my favorite of the series, Worth the Wait reads well as a standalone and it looks like Ford’s sister Violet is up next!
