[Release Blitz + Review] Love Me Today by A.L. Jackson

LOVE ME TODAY by A.L. Jackson is NOW LIVE!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

A jaded single dad. A woman returning to her small-town roots. Neither was prepared for their paths to collide…

I should have known I was in trouble when I backed my old, beat-up truck into the shiny Range Rover.
The driver looked like a gorgeous fallen angel – one who’d been booted right out of paradise for being a giant prick.
Good thing I’ll never have to see him again.
Except when I show up for my new job to teach a little girl how to ride her horse, I find the same icy blue eyes glaring back at me.

Paisley Dae is completely reckless. She’s also the best trainer in this small town. And Evelyn gets the best.
Protecting the little girl is my one focus.
Only the sassy trainer in her cut-offs and cowgirl boots quickly gets under my skin. Distractions are dangerous, but she soon becomes everything I crave.

One reckless night of giving in, and Caleb and I spiral into a web of passion.
But when I begin to unravel the secrets hiding in this place, I find there is more riding on this job than I thought.
Caleb and Evelyn are worth any sacrifice – only Caleb has to decide what he will sacrifice for me…

OUR REVIEWS.

3.5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Little Bit of Everything.

In this first book of the Time River series, we meet Caleb and Paisley, a complete opposites attract couple if I ever saw one.

“The woman looked like chaos standing there.”

This from Caleb, a man buttoned up so tight he can hardly breathe. I wasn’t a fan of his at all and really hoped for some redemption by the end of the book. He’s like a mafia guy, but isn’t, I didn’t quite know, either way he was always on the look out for danger. Caleb has a tragic past, which is currently driving his actions now. He’s a man on a mission and that mission is protection. The mission also makes him a pill with zero personality.

On the other hand, we have Paisley. She seems to be a bit of a little girl lost if you will. She’s back from Arizona, living with her grandfather and stumbles across a horse lessons job for some money. She’s all bright and sunny, nothing like Caleb, however like Caleb in the fact that she’s also got some baggage from her past that isn’t quite cleared up yet. I liked Paisley, didn’t love her, but liked her better than Caleb.

“God, she was a disaster. A perfect disorder. One that terrified me.”

There was too much of that for me. Disaster, riot, disorder, dangerous, when Caleb describes Paisley, when she was living life like a regular person would. His overprotectiveness was the irritating part. Over and over, he would say how dangerous she was when doing something mundane. I get he was trying to be protective of the little girl but come on.
The book is well written and felt as if it contained a lot of filler. Lots of nicknaming and back and forth with Caleb and Paisley. There was some drama in the background for each of them that kept my interest more than the main couple did. The book reads as a standalone with epilogues to wrap things up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story has laughs, second chances, and heartbreak.

This is Paisley and Caleb's story. He is taking care of Evelyn and she gets nothing but the best. Paisley is the best even if she does not look it. These two have to tolerate each other in order to make things work. But the pull is strong. Can they build a friendship or something more or will secrets get in the way?

I recommend this book.
