Wowza!
I’ll have to say, I haven’t read a mind F of a book like this in quite a while. Jessie Emerson gives readers one heck of a dark and gritty emotional roller coaster ride. This review will be very vague as to protect the story line.
Hunter and Caterina are one of those lovey dovey couples that you look at and wonder what’s really going on with them. He’s super protective and once I realized what happened to their family in the past, I absolutely understood why both were the way they were. At times I didn’t like Hunter, he came across as fake, overdoing it if you will. It takes quite a bit of reading to finally see and appreciate the whole picture of Hunter and Caterina.
The book is well written and while I’m not a prude, a little sex heavy when I wanted more story with a subject such as this. That said, it’s a dark ride. Lots of gory details, so heed the trigger warnings. Beautiful Chaos reads as a standalone with a couple of peeks into the future.
