Finally Ford's Turn

We've met this spoiled playboy in previous books and now it's Ford's turn to show us what a good guy he actually is under all of that B.S.

Ford has a daughter. She was a surprise and a surprise to everybody around him, Ford is doing a nice job at taking care of her. It's not easy, with games and practice, however he's making it work for now. Ford and Lena are more than familiar with each other. They kissed on New Year's Eve and she works for his father as a PR person to spin the press when Ford effs up, which is often we learn.

This time he has taken it too far for his father. Ford's dad has begged him to take over the family biz, but Ford isn't interested at all, so the minute his dad finds a buyer, Ford's daughters appears. To appease the new buyer, Ford's dad needs him and Lena to pretend they are getting married and that's where our story begins....

I wasn't a huge fan of Ford in the beginning, however my mind was changed by the end of the book. Lena was a bit of a pushover that did her best to hold her ground. These two both have a past, hers way worse than his, that made them who they are today. There was a lot for Ford and Lena to learn about each other.

The book is well written and while predictable, it was fun to see how Lena and Ford were going to navigate the lie to the end. All of the former ladies and hockey players are present and accounted for, something I love in a series. We got a better look into Ford's family which worked out, because one of his sisters is getting ready to cause some real trouble. Faking it With #41 can be read as a standalone, but it's much more fun to read the series.
