Quick, Angsty Read
Willow Winters gives her readers a quick, sexy, angsty read with Tequila Rose. The blurb pretty much spells it out, but boy oh boy does Magnolia have quite the conundrum on her hands as we get into the thick of it.
We've all been there, dumped, feeling just a little bit less than ourselves, a little bit happy on wine, figuring there's nothing that a good dress and a good man can't help but fix for the moment. That was Magnolia, freshly dumped and looking to move on quickly from it, even if it was until the wine wore off. Brody fit the bill and that was that. Until nine months later.
Brody thought about the girl he met that night, but never thought he would see her again. To be in her home town wasn't just a coincidence, it was fate and he wasn't going to let her get away this time. Small towns talk and Brody has heard a lot about the woman that called herself Rose that first night, now he needs to find out the truth for himself.
The book is well written and moves along quickly. All the way up to the end, I'm not sure how I feel about Magnolia/Rose. She's got a lot on her plate, so I'll give her that, but wanted her to be stronger by the end. Speaking of end, I kept looking at the percentage on my Kindle wondering if we were ever going to get to the "good stuff" and that is a question that will be answered another day and I'll have to admit, I kinda want to see how it's going to end. Bring on Autumn Night Whiskey!
