🏒 🏒 NEW RELEASE 🏒🏒
KNOCKED UP BY NUMBER NINETY by Elise Faber is NOW LIVE!!
BLURB.
Having a baby wasn’t in my five-year plan.
Then again, neither was sleeping with a hockey player who hates my guts.
Star forward for the Grizzlies, Leo Wilson is my least favorite person on the planet.
Unfortunately, after a night of drinking and debauchery—on both our sides—we end up in bed together.
It was supposed to be one time—
Not a night punctuated by a lifetime of parental responsibility…and the slowly sinking feeling that I may have misjudged Leo.
That there may be more to him than the playboy persona.
That he may be everything I’ve ever dreamed of.
And that…I don’t think I can let him go.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cute Hockey Romance.
Knocked Up by Number Ninety is book three in the Grizzlies Hockey series, and this time we get an up-close look at Leo and Harper, two adults carrying a lot of emotional baggage from their childhoods.
Leo isn’t looking for love, relationships, or feelings. No attachments works just fine for him. Growing up with toxic parents who constantly fought and dragged him into the middle of their drama convinced him that marriage and kids only lead to misery. But after one night with Harper, a caterer who is also friends with the team’s wives and girlfriends, he starts catching feelings almost immediately. Of course, instead of dealing with those emotions like an adult, he panics and ends up being a complete jerk to her.
Harper has her own issues, mainly abandonment. Her father walked out early, leaving her mom to work herself to the bone to provide for them. Because of that, Harper grew up believing that men never stay, so she learned to depend only on herself. Honestly, I admired that about her. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being self-sufficient, especially considering everything she’s been through.
While I liked both Leo and Harper — flaws and all — their relationship sometimes felt like a tennis match. Back and forth, back and forth. At times, it became a little repetitive. Yes, they both needed to work through their personal issues, but some of the constant internal battles dragged on longer than necessary for me.
The real saving grace was the Grizzlies team and all of the wives and girlfriends. Their constant banter, meddling, and support added the perfect dose of humor and warmth throughout the story. I also really enjoy seeing characters from previous books continue to pop up and play important roles in the newer stories.
Overall, this book was well written and hit a lot of the things I enjoy in a sports romance series: emotional moments, found family, humor, and plenty of chemistry. It can definitely be read as a standalone, but I think it’s even more enjoyable when the series is read in order.
