Initially expecting a classic hockey romance, I was surprised to find The Power Play offering much more than just sports action. However, fair warning: this book leans heavily into the erotic genre rather than focusing solely on the sports aspect. Gone are the scenes of team camaraderie and fending off admirers; instead, readers are thrust into the world of a hockey player who finds himself drawn to a cam girl, igniting a whirlwind of passion and intrigue.

Despite the undeniable sexual tension between the main characters, I found myself longing for deeper emotional connections. The protagonist felt somewhat one-dimensional, hiding behind her online persona like a lost soul. While the steamy encounters are sure to set hearts racing, the lack of genuine chemistry left me yearning for more substance.
