See that guy over there? The insanely tall, broad-shouldered, dark-haired, scowling, “I don’t drink coffee” suit?
Surprise! He’s the new owner of my family’s mountain café.
The café that has been my life purpose since I was born in the kitchen there almost thirty years ago.
The café that he’s planning to completely gut and renovate for revenge against one of my family members.
He’s also the funny, charming, irresistible guy I spilled all of my secrets to last week.
During the hottest one-night stand of my life.
As my dog would say, woof me.
Secrets and gossip keep getting me in trouble, and I swore I was done with both, but now my family’s café is on the line.
It’s time to use every last trick I know to uncover every secret this man is hiding.
I don’t care how much I liked him our first night together, or how much I keep seeing glimpses of that man beneath his gruff exterior.
One of us has to go.
It won’t be me.
The Gossip & The Grump is a one night stand to enemies to lovers romcom featuring a woman desperately trying to unlearn everything she knows about everyone, a grumpy misfit hiding a secret heart of gold, an unfortunate incident with powdered cheese, and the world’s biggest lap puppy. It stands alone, but you wouldn’t go wrong to read The Worst Wedding Date first.

MY REVIEW.
4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In the second book of the Three BFFs and a Wedding series, we home in on Sabrina and Grey, two crazy kids that thought their one-night stand in Hawaii was long behind them. I’m really starting to like this miscommunication of sorts genre. You pretty much know how it’s going to end, but the getting there part is so fun!
While I wasn’t sure about Sabrina at first, the girl is extra, extra and we are in her head a LOT, so I speak from experience. She’s just ruined her friend’s destination wedding and to make up for it, is on a good deed trip with her remaining days/hours in Hawaii. Along the way, she “saves” a guy in a bar and ends up sleeping with him, hoping to never see him again. Cue seeing him days later in the parking lot of her café back home.
Grey was smitten with Sabrina in Hawaii, however learning she is somehow tied to the café he just bought to bring down, throws all kinds of stops to his plans. I liked Gray, he was a grump with a beautiful vulnerable side. It was cute how he was planning to exact revenge on the man that wronged him but kept stopping and thinking of Sabrina every step of the way. She is way more involved with his origins story than he ever thought, revealing secrets about herself along the way.
“This woman has the power to hurt me, and she’s already demonstrated she will without hesitation under the right circumstances.”
Oh Grey, such a sensitive guy with a grumpy exterior. I loved that he wasn’t fooling anybody with his personality and really started to fit in with the locals surrounding the café. That’s what makes these stories, not only the main characters, but all the supporting characters and drama going on with them. It was a treat to see the small town accept Grey and his nephew Zen (whom I adored), even if they were there to ruin everything.
“Weakness makes you vulnerable. Vulnerable lets them take advantage.”
To say Grey has some issues is putting it mildly and to watch those around him bring him out of his shell was the best. The book is well written and reads perfectly as a standalone, however is much more fun when read in order. Looks like Sabrina’s bestie Emma is up next, and boy does she have some explaining to do!

AUTHOR BIO.
PIPPA GRANT wanted to write books, so she did. Before she became a USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling romantic comedy author, she was a young military spouse who got into writing as self-therapy. That happened around the time she discovered reading romance novels, and the two eventually merged into a career. Today, she has more than 30 knee-slapping Pippa Grant titles and nine written as Jamie Farrell. When she's not writing romantic comedies, she's fumbling through being a mom, wife, and mountain woman, and sometimes trying to find hobbies. Her crowning achievement? Having impeccable timing for telling stories that will make people snort beverages out of their noses. Consider yourself warned.
