Great Spinoff.
In Waiting to Score, we meet up with Violet, who is the younger sister to Ford, who was featured in a previous Lake Spark book. Violet ends up with Ford’s best friend Declan and it’s all kinds of sneaking around from there.
Violet is a woman in her 20’s making a go of things on her own in Lake Spark. She’s single, not ready for a relationship with a bit of a past still following her around. She knows Declan, the former hockey player because of her brother, until one night at a swinger’s party, she really gets to know him. Both Declan and Violet need to get their personal baggage taken care of before even attempting any type of relationship and that doesn’t include telling Ford…yet.
Violet and Declan were well written, and I thought they had great chemistry. Each going into the “deal” knowing there wasn’t anything more, all the while readers know exactly how it’s going to end.
The book is well written and sexy as all get out, while not overdoing it and a great start to the Lake Spark Off-Season series!
