[Release Blitz + Review] A Cruel Arrangement by Tijan

A CRUEL ARRANGEMENT by Tijan is NOW LIVE!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

This was my place. My business. Easter Lanes.

Then a guy comes in, trying to rob me, daring to take it away from me.

My home. My life.

Hell no. I won't let my livelihood be threatened.

No one knows what I've done to build this life for myself.

Except he might.

Ashton Walden, a man I remember from when we were kids.

Even back then I could tell how dangerous he would be one day.

He's now the head of the Walden mafia family, and my father is so in debt to them that they practically own him.

My dad and I are estranged and I want nothing to do with him or his debt, but the day after the attempted robbery, I don't wake up in the hospital.

I wake up in Ashton Walden's home. And he drops a bomb on me.

If I want my livelihood back, I need to earn it back.

And thus begins our cruel arrangement.

MY REVIEW.

4.5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This Girl Drove Me Crazy!!

In a Cruel Arrangement, we pick up right where we left off, wondering what happened to Justin and Kelly and holy smokes, Tijan dedicating this book to them was brilliant!!

While we got to know Ashton and Trace pretty well the first time around, I didn’t really remember Molly Easter or her business, a bowling alley called Easter Lanes. I’ve read quite a few books in between A Dirty Business, book one in the series and this book, so I appreciated the refreshers Tijan offered along the way. As a friend of Jess, Trace’s woman, and Molly’s father’s troubles, she is well aware of the mafia presence that surrounds her. What she isn’t aware of is the mafia presence right on her.

From the first chapter, it was obvious that Molly was a bit of a loose cannon, which I liked. Sure, as the book went on her choices weren’t the best, however it made for some good and slightly irritating reading. After her first of many “incidents”, Molly ends up at the hands of mafia boss Ashton Walden. Known for roughing up Jess in book one (something Trace does not let him forget) Ashton is the brawn to Trace’s brains if you will. He’s a scary dude and Molly is now in his orbit.

“He was a dichotomy. That’s what he was.”

Don’t even try to figure Ashton out, because you won’t. One second, he hates Molly and the next he can’t live without her. It was an odd situation, or arrangement if you will. He needs her help to finally figure out who killed Justin and Kelly, but of course it isn’t as easy as it sounds.

“You run and I’ll burn the world down for you.”

Aw sweet! Or is it psycho?? That’s what we’re dealing with when it comes to Ashton Walden, the dude constantly runs hot or cold with everybody, however deep down you can tell he’s got a heart of gold. It is quite the dichotomy as Molly said.

The book is well written and as action packed as the first one. If I had one tiny complaint, it would be on how long it was. At some points it tended to drag a bit. Granted there were a lot of moving parts to this story, as well as characters, but there were some areas that could have been tightened up. That said, the race to the finish was fantastic and I sure hope Marco and Remmi are up next. That girl sounds like a firecracker!!
