BLURB.
For me, choice might as well be a wish.
My parents died in a fiery car crash when I was barely sixteen.
I’m gay.
I’m also totally in love with my brother.
I didn’t choose any of that. In fact, I’ve tried like hell to deny it. But here I am in all my gay, brother-loving, no-parentals glory.
Technically, Max isn’t my brother. Not by blood anyway. That should make it less ick, right?
Considering he calls my parents mom and dad, probably not.
Also, did I mention he’s straight?
So that’s me: the freestyle swimmer doing my best to keep my sexuality on the down-low while simultaneously wishing my feelings for Max will evaporate into thin air.
Too bad he acts like he’s my keeper and my heart shakes every time his eyebrow ring glints in the sun or he levels his opaque stare on me with an intensity matched by nothing else.
My desire to keep my personal life personal drowns at the bottom of the pool when a fellow Elite lets everyone in on my business, which throws Max into macho protective mode all over again.
Enough is enough, though. I’m forcing myself to move on.
Maybe the best way to forget about my forbidden crush is to find a new one.
I have options. More than I realized.
Unfortunately, none of them are leather-wearing, tattoo-sporting, motorcycle-riding grumpholes.
So here I am wishing for Max while someone else wishes for me.
Someone who decides if they can’t have me…
No one will.
Please note that WISH contains homophobia. There is also mention of off-page child abuse and parental death. This book also contains a male/male sibling-esque relationship and mentions of male assault. Some readers may find these things uncomfortable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cambria Hebert is back with the next explosive new release in her addicting Westbrook Elite where swimming is the top dog and the elite are the best of the best.
This go round we have sweet Wes' story and the dark to his light, Max.. and honestly, we ALL need a Max in our lives. Wish was absolutely EVERYTHING I needed it to be for this series and for these two characters. Their story was angsty, intense, beautiful, heartbreaking, steamy af π₯΅, complicated, forbidden, and packed literally cover to cover with all the feels. I didn't put Wish down once I started it and when it was over, I wanted to go back to Wet to experience it all.. all over again.
I'm on the edge of my seat for the next book in the Westbroom Elite and that letter at the end from Cambria? Exactly what was needed to finish this beauty out.
And before we go. That letter at the end? It cracked my frigid heart WIDE OPEN. π₯Ί
I can't recommend this book, series, and author enough y'all.

I was pulled right into this m/m story. The story has pain, secrets, love, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first:
Wet (Westbrook Elite #1)
Wingspan (Westbrook Elite #2)
This is Wes and Max's story. He’s in love with his “brother” who is not blood but still a brother nonetheless. He keeps that crush under wraps after all Max is straight and he is gay. The banter and jokes are sprinkled throughout the story, but it also contains suspense and crazy people. You get to know Max and understand his side of things at the same time as Wes. But with that side comes all kinds of angst that at times is over the top and a little distracting. But also makes you dig into the story more wanting answers. Can’t wait to see what the next set of characters bring to this series.
I highly recommend this book.
