Heartwarming Romance.

In Josh and Gemma the Second Time Around, Sarah Ready doesn’t cut our cute couple any slack. This review will be vague to protect the storylines.

“If you don’t fight for what you love, you lose it.”

The title says it all, Josh and Gemma had a long road ahead of them the first time around, so when faced with challenges this time, they thought they would be prepared…little did they realize. I liked both of these quirky characters, they just fit. Their story picks up fun and full of life, exactly what you felt they’ve earned, until the rug is pulled out from under them. Not only are Josh and Gemma in uncharted territory, there’s a past that is starting to surface and at one point, nothing makes any sense.

“Because I’m bad for you. And sometimes, Gemma, what’s bad for you is the only thing that can make you feel alive.”

The book is well written and Sarah Ready did a fantastic job at bringing it full circle. There were a lot of “What the?” moments for me as I read, however I knew there was a reason for everything. While we focus on Josh and Gemma of course, her family and friends are present and accounted for as well. The book reads as a standalone, however for the full effect of Ian, I would start with Josh and Gemma Make a Baby.
