ABOUT THE BOOK.

What happens when I find the right guy at exactly the wrong time?
I’m Alex Young. Star quarterback for the Denver Mountain Lions. Captain of the team. Son. Brother. Teammate.
And I’m gay.
No one can know. My secret could destroy everything. I lock myself up in the closet and throw away the key. It’s better this way. I can focus on football and being the best quarterback I can be.
Until him.
With that first look, I’m a goner. I’ve never met anyone like him. With each passing day, he’s breaking down my walls that I’ve worked so hard to build.
But what if someone finds out? What if I’m outed to the world and cut from the team I love?
I can’t risk it.
But when Carter kisses me like that?
I can’t resist.
I am in so much trouble.

MY REVIEW.

4 Stars from Tiffany!

A Lot of Story in A Little Book

In Sideline Infraction, the third book in the Denver Mountain Lions series and the only one I've read, Emily Silver gives her readers quite the story with Alex and Carter.

These were two strong characters written almost in an opposites attract manner. On the surface, Alex was a man's man, so to say, a football player, as well as a ladies man, however is more focused on his game than his love life. Which keeps the questions from his teammates about a girlfriend at bay. Carter on the other hand is out and proud. He’s been there done that with the lying and pretending and can’t imagine himself in that situation as an adult.

Alex and Carter hit it off right away and I thought their love for Marvel was cute. They have a lot in common and enjoy spending time together under the radar. They move pretty fast, which makes it obvious these two aren’t in the same places in their lives. While I really liked Alex, he was so wishy-washy at times and I wanted to shake him and say open your eyes man. I did understand the enormous pressure he must be feeling and was glad Carter was there to help him out.

The book is well written, funny and sexy. Along with Alex and Carter, we have friends and family to move the story along. Sideline Infraction reads well as a standalone with a nice epilogue to wrap things up.
