[Release Blitz + Review] Loving the Linebacker by Jacob Chance

TITLE: Loving the Linebacker
SERIES: Charleston Pirates
AUTHOR: Jacob Chance
GENRE: Sports Romance (stand alone)
RELEASE DATE: October 21, 2022
COVER DESIGN: Sybil Wilson/Popkitty Design

Muscular, tattooed, and bearded, Ace Carney is intimidating as hell and my opposite in every way.

With his piercing gray eyes and gruff demeanor, he reminds me of the wolf shifters from my favorite romance novels.

Unfortunately, this is real life, not fiction. There’s no way one of the NFL’s top linebackers would fall for a klutzy future aerospace engineer—I’m not that lucky.

With graduation only months away, my focus should be on maintaining my grades. Yet, the moments Ace and I spend together prove that below his grumpy exterior lies the heart of a gentle giant.

We’re at different points in our lives. He’s approaching the end of his career and mine’s about to begin.

I shouldn’t let myself fall in love with the linebacker. But falling never felt so good.

4 Stars from Renee!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first:
Changing the Player (Charleston Pirates, #1)
Kissing the Quarterback (Charleston Pirates #2)
Tempting the Baller (Charleston Pirates #3)
Coaching the Kicker (Charleston Pirates #4)

This is Mariko and Ace‘s story. These two are complete opposites. Not only that, but there is also a huge age gap. These two start out as friends that slowly build into more. The pull was there but as they grow and learn more about each other it gets stronger. They build a relationship before really moving forward. He spends his time scowling but is really a great guy under all the gruffness. She is just starting her career and that makes the story pull a little differently. But all in all, these two are a really great couple.

I recommend this book.
