BEAUTY AND THE VILLAIN by V.F. Mason is AVAILABLE NOW!!

Dark Age Gap Enemies to Lovers Romance Duet.

ABOUT THE BOOK.

Once upon a time I had it all.

I thrived in all the power and luxury this world had to offer.

Until I found out the hideous truth.

When a man I considered a friend betrayed me in the worst possible way.

The scars on my body burned anew every single day as I only craved one thing.

Revenge.

And to execute it I had to strike him where it would hurt the most.

His family.

I patiently waited in the shadows for more than a decade for his beloved daughter to grow up.

Unaware that a villain was ready to steal her far, far away.

I used to be a prince once.

But a certain underworld king destroyed my life.

The price for his betrayal is his daughter: the princess of the dark castle.

MY REVIEW.

4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not Sure About This Villain.

In Beauty and the Villain, V.F. Mason gives readers yet another rendition of Beauty and the Beast. Aileen is the beauty, with a beast formed from her past.

Rush is a man on a mission...to destroy the most prized possession of those who destroyed him. He is out for revenge, however it's an innocent who is paying the price. Rush has kidnapped his enemy's daughter and plans to make her pay for the sins of her father. Aileen knows nothing of what is going on around her, only that this Rush isn't the Rush from her past. He isn't the Rush that she wrote letters to when she was a child. This man is cold and dark and never sent the letters he wrote back to her.

We are smack dab in a family war with Rush and Aileen and as dark as this storyline could have been, it really wasn't. Not to say that it isn't interesting, but it's a lot of lip service between these two and not much moving forward until the very end. I was on the fence with how I felt about this book up to the last page. I was annoyed, yet still found myself interested in the history of Rush and his family, more so than the "relationship" between Rush and Aileen.

The book is well written and slightly dark, maybe heavy is a better word. I mentioned letters between Rush and Aileen and to me the letters didn't help the story, but hindered it. Aileen was seven years old when writing them and they definitely didn't sound like it, no matter how advanced she was for her age. We end on a cliffhanger and I'm sure I'll read the next one because like I said, I'm interested in what happened to make Rush seek such revenge.

MEET V.F. MASON.

V.F. MASON always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn’t happen. Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it. When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
