4 Stars from Renee!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first:
Broken (Harper Security Ops #1)
Tempted (Harper Security Ops, #2)

This is Liliana and Jagger’s story. Liliana has been working on movies for about seven years and knows she needs some down time. Her hometown is where she is headed. When she needs some security, she gets Jagger. The attraction is instant not that they fight It for long. The danger that is after her adds the little bit of drama to keep you hooked. The characters didn’t pull me in as much as the danger did. You can guess who the danger is after a while, but it still makes the story flow nicely. I read the first book in the series but not the second but in doing that it didn’t impact the story so don’t worry if are just picking up this one. It works well as a standalone.

I recommend this book.

Nice, Sweet Romance...

Conceal is a nice, sweet romance with a little intrigue thrown in to keep us readers on our toes. While I thought I had read the two previous books in this series, I haven't and it didn't matter as this book is written well as a stand alone.

Lily Mack needs a break from her life as a big shot Hollywood star. She's been in back to back movies for the past seven years and has decided she needs a little me time in her home town of Steel Ridge. While it sounds it, she isn't really a poor me type of gal, she needed a break so she took it, not advertising where she's going or when she'll be back. I was lukewarm to her character and I can't pin point why. Same with Jagger, the man that installs her security cameras after things went missing in her yard. Both characters were meh to me, which I feel bad about sayin, however never found the connection.

"Staying away from Lily wasn't going to be an option. If anything, I planned to be there every day to protect her, even if I had to conceal my feelings for her while I did it."

Not a lot of concealing from Jagger and Lily when it came right down to it. More of an insta-love type of thing, which also isn't my cup of tea. That said, A.K. Evans kept me hooked with the troubles that seem to have found her hiding in her home town. It was a bit of a whodunit for a while until I finally guessed it correctly.

The book is well written and pretty safe if you will. Lily and Jagger were kind of boring, but again the action in the background kept me reading. As I mentioned, although this is the third book in the series, it's written well as a standalone with a nice epilogue to wrap things up.

A.K. EVANS is a contemporary romance author of over twenty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.

Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!

When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.
