Slow Start, Unexpected End

In this second book of the Villain's Duet, we find Elijah and Charlotte exactly where we left them, on the run hiding out on a yacht in Italy. This review may contain spoilers for the first book.

Charlotte is a woman in love...with her kidnapper. Something she never thought she would say, however it's to the point of no return now. Elijah is keeping her safe in the best way he knows how, all the while trying to make her happy with the life he's thrown her in to.

"Where have you been all of my life?"

"I've always been there. You just never saw me."

The first half of the book was a bit draggy and unnecessarily sexy, something I usually don't mind, but with this many pages and this big of a story, I really wanted to focus on what in the hell was going on because it was turning out to be quite the strange/surprising story line.

"I might be a monster in this world, but I want to be a colossus in yours."

The book was well written and took a fantastic, yet at the same time disappointing turn. Only disappointing in the fact that this book ends the series. There is a lot going on with this strange couple to just shut the door on so abruptly. Bella J. again did a nice job in only a few pages to captivate and slightly annoy me.
