A Very Busy Story

Sheesh, from page one N. Isabelle Blanco gives her readers a gritty, dark, action packed read. The blurb pretty tells what the book is going to be, an epic revenge story.

He left her all of those years ago. He made a choice, one that he didn't realize would leave her in nothing but pain. While enduring that pain and hearbreak, she knew she would make it out alive and also make it her mission to make him pay. Sure she loved him at one time, but those memories have been replaced with nothing but dark now.

From the blurb, I wasn't sure what this book was about. Seemed like a pretty dark story, something I'm a fan of. And it was dark, however it was also very busy and the Greek mythology setting didn't jive with me for some reason. As a fan of historical romance, I powered through, but never really connected with it, at no fault to the author.

The book is well written and heavily detailed. It's dark and sexy in a odd way. It is book 3.5 in the Ryze world, probably another reason I didn't connect, it was the only book I have read of the series. For a Greek mythology fan, this book/series I'm sure is a real find, but not for me.
