She Left the Ranch, But Not His Heart

What a great start to the Emerald Lake Ranch series! We meet Archer Hayes and Tinsley, a famous country singer who was his girl for one unforgettable summer ten years ago—and he never really let her go.

Archer runs a multi-billion—with a B—dollar horse ranch alongside his brothers, Hunter and Ryder, Ryder’s daughter Ella, and their mother, Elloise. There are three Hayes boys, each with unique backgrounds I can't wait to dive into. Archer and Tinsley’s connection was instant that summer, and now, ten years later, he's still running the ranch and wondering why she disappeared. Bottom line: they were young, with their whole lives ahead of them. Doesn’t make it any easier now.

There’s so much emotion coming from all the characters, especially Archer and Tinsley, who are both scarred by the past and hesitant to move forward—together or alone.

The book is well written and sexy as all get-out. I really enjoyed the supporting characters and what they bring to the series, especially Tinsley’s assistant, Briar. Something tells me she might need a Hayes man of her own. This one reads well as a standalone, and the cute epilogue gives a fun little glimpse into the future.
