It wasn’t fair that I’d been handed this task. Why me? I didn’t want to watch some stripper’s daughter who had decided to blackmail the governor. Why didn’t we have the philandering bastard hand over hush money, and then we could put enough fear in her that she kept her mouth shut?

 

When I didn’t believe it could get any worse, the stripper’s daughter opened the cheap ass motel room door she had been staying in and knocked the wind out of my chest.

This is Montana and Than’s story. She’s being stalked and needs help. She goes to her sperm donor and asks for help. He refuses but she will tell all his secrets if he does not help out. He sends Than. Than does not want to be babysitting someone. She has reasons for needing help from the governor. But as soon as Than meets her he knows he will burn down everything and everyone for her. What he didn’t want to do turns into so much more.

I recommend this book.
