One-Night Stand Leads to More.

I finally picked up my first Tiffany Patterson book, and I really enjoyed the story of Travis and Alyssia. They come from completely different worlds, but somehow make it work.

Alyssia is independent and self-sufficient, shaped by a difficult past. After a wild night out in Vegas, she ends up in bed with a handsome stranger who turns out to be a famous race car driver. And of course… one-night stand pregnancy. The story kicks off from there.

Travis is a Monaco-based race car driver chasing the next win. He’s instantly smitten with Alyssia but disappointed when she doesn’t stick around. When he finds out about the pregnancy, he takes charge, which doesn’t exactly sit well with Alyssia. She’s used to calling her own shots, and suddenly there’s this rich, bossy guy dictating her next steps. While it might feel like she caves too easily at times, you can see the idea of building a family drawing her in.

The book is well written and an easy, predictable read with a little extra drama in the background that felt resolved too quickly. I’d call it an insta-slow burn. These two get to really know each other over the course of the pregnancy. I also loved the family dynamics, especially Travis’s siblings, they add so much warmth and humor. Flat Out works perfectly as a standalone, even though it’s part of a series.
