MY REVIEW.

5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very Cute College Romance.

n Iced, Calia Riley serves up an adorable friends-to-more, opposites attract story featuring Grace and Clayton. You can pretty much guess where things are headed, but the real fun is in the journey as we watch Grace and Clayton’s relationship unfold.

Grace has had a hockey player as her best friend for years. After her crush gets shot down, she settles for the friend zone and starts judging all hockey players by that experience. I really liked Grace—she’s young but has this old soul vibe. She’s gorgeous but also a total book nerd, which makes her great at handling cocky guys, especially the hockey players. When she first meets Clayton, she sizes him up right away, but soon realizes he’s something special.

And special he definitely is! I loved Clayton’s character. He’s a couple of years older than freshman Grace and is all about two things: graduating and making it to the pros (not necessarily in that order). He’s responsible too, worrying about his single mom and sister, and is super focused on his homework and hockey. But once Grace starts tutoring him, all bets are off.

As I mentioned, the real enjoyment comes from the little moments. It’s fun to see Grace mature and finally recognize her best friend Kellan for what he is—someone who only wants her when another guy shows interest. She quickly learns that not all hockey players are players off the ice too.

The book is well written and fun. I liked the texting back and forth, as well as the boys in the hockey house, as well as Grace’s bestie Peyton always chiming in or teasing. Iced reads as a stand alone with an epilogue to peek in and see what’s going on with these crazy kids.
