Small Town Slow Burn.
In Stubborn Heart, we are introduced to Wyatt and Rhea, two strong, independent young people taking on the family business and the problems that come with it.
From the get-go, I liked both main characters instantly. Wyatt, although from money, was very down to earth and relatable. He has a large family that means everything to him and if Rhea gave him a chance, she would see what a nice guy he is. Rhea was described as a spitfire in the blurb; however, I didn’t see that in her. Sure, she was vigilant at protecting her family’s farm, but luckily for Wyatt she was cautious rather than spitfire.
Rhea is trying to save the family farm from being gobbled up by Wyatt’s family business, the two form a bit of a friendship that he wants to parlay into more, while she isn’t sure of his true intentions.
The book is well written, cute, and low steam and angst. Along with Wyatt and Rhea, we meet the families and boy, with Wyatt’s big ole family, there can be a series here for sure!

A.K. EVANS is a contemporary romance author of over forty published novels. While she enjoys writing a good romantic suspense novel, Andrea’s favorite books to write have been her extreme sports romances. That might have something to do with the fact that she, along with her husband and two sons, can’t get enough of extreme sports.
Before becoming a writer, Andrea did a brief stint in the insurance and financial services industry and managed her husband’s performance automotive business. That love of extreme sports? She used to drive race cars!
When Andrea isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her two sons, doing yoga, snowboarding, reading, or traveling with her family. She and her husband are currently taking road trips throughout the country to visit all 50 states with their boys.
