Abbi Glines has a new series out, a first book and after her latest, I just knew this was going to be epic in lots of ways. This is a spin off from her epic Smoke Series and holy hotness. Just. You. Wait.

Slay is the first book in her new Georgia Smoke Series, giving us an unforgettable southern mafia romance that'll tear at your heart in all the moments and all the ways and leave you on the edge of your seat the. whole. time.

Slay introduces us to Rumor and King, their story and let me tell you.. your heart and panties aren't ready for these two and the journey that lies ahead for them. What. A. Book.

Steamy, intense, twisted, darker, suspenseful, angsty af y'all. Did I mention steamy? 🥵 Slay checked off every box on my list and delivered a STUNNING romance that had me glued to the pages until long after the pages quit turning and begging for more after the very last word.

Abbi knows how to wine and dine you with her words, characters, and settings, and this is definitely up there with some of her absolute best and setting up to be a must read.

I'm on pins and mother freaking needles for Slay King y'all, and I know the moment it lands on my kindle, it'll be devoured in just a few short hours... maybe even twice like this first.

I can't recommend this book and author enough y'all.

A New King for Me!!

Wow! Did Abbi Glines bring out the big guns for this spin off book from the Smoke series, Slay. I have the Smoke series sitting on my Kindle and if they are anything like this book, I’d better get to reading!!

Talk about a book of everything. We have a damsel in distress, horse racing, the mafia and a handful of handsome, but dangerous men who are nice as can be. Rumor is running for her life from a man that made it hell. Little does she know, she’s run right into the family that is the reason she was able to run. They are kind and hospitable, yet lethal, something she isn’t instantly aware of. King has the most charm, so he is elected to keep track of the woman and only one rule, don’t F her. Uh yeah, sure thing.

King is a complex man. Sweet on one hand and delivering punishment on the other. I couldn’t decide if I loved or hated him at times. He’s got a family to obey, but the woman is making it difficult to keep good on his word about Rumor.

The book is well written and explains the goings on of the family well, so you don’t feel lost. There is quite a bit of family business in the background, however that doesn’t get in the way of the sexy and my favorite, the angst. As the first of a duet, we are left on the cliff waiting to see what will happen next.
