Fake Love at Warp Speed.
In Dirty Secret Love, we are introduced to River and Sutton, both living in a small town and one loves it, but the other can’t wait to get out.
The blurb says it all, Sutton loves her hometown, but with her parents moving back and her love life in a shambles, she’s got no need to stay unless she finds a husband and quick. At almost 30 with her own life, she’s still letting her parents dictate it, annoying. River is in the same boat, however it’s a situation out of his control. When Sutton proposes her plan, he’s all abord needed some action in his boring life. I liked River and Sutton separately, but the insta-love or lust was a bit of a turn off.
The book is well written and went how one would expect a fake engagement to go and the little curve ball about Sutton was unexpected. However, there wasn’t a lot of getting to know each other, except for between the sheets and like Sutton, I found River calling her Darling all the time annoying. This is the second book in the series, and it read well as a standalone.
