[Release Blitz + Review] Tame the Heart by Ava Hunter

Wild hearts can't be tamed.

Tame the Heart by Ava Hunter is NOW LIVE!!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

Keeping my heart guarded all my life has never been an issue. Until he saves me in a bar fight.

Charlie Montgomery is one grumpy rancher. Calloused hands, stubborn heart, the definition of a true cowboy.

He dislikes me from the second we meet. Warns me away from his tiny town of Resurrection, Montana. Well, what he doesn’t know is I’m armed with a bucket list and a secret. There’s no way I’m leaving. I’ll just keep my distance.

Only in a small town that distance doesn’t last for long. Because I owe him a favor: Work for him for three months and help him save his home. Runaway Ranch.

But our close confines mean I see what’s under all that strong. I see the real Charlie Montgomery. The man behind the rugged rancher who yells. Beneath his dark beard hides a rare smile. Beneath his mile-wide chest beats a tender heart. One that slowly starts to beat for me.

And instead of running back onto that open road, I run towards Charlie instead.

But a hidden danger is lurking. Someone who doesn't want Charlie to save his ranch. Someone who is out to get us both. And I could lose more than my heart this summer—I could lose my life…

MY REVIEW.

4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gave me a Yellowstone Vibe.

In Tame the Heart, we meet grumpy cowboy Charlie Mongomery and the ray of sunshine that instantly irritates him, Ruby Bloom. Charlie owns a ranch in Montana with his five brothers and to say there’s a lot of cowboy-ing going on in this book is putting it mildly!

Ruby is on a mission to live her life. She left home for a bucket-list road trip and after leaving Winslow, Arizona, she finds herself in Montana next. Planning on only staying for the summer, she instantly starts looking for a job and stumbles upon the gruff Charlie. After helping her out of a jam, Charlie needs social media help for his ranch, Ruby is the perfect fit, and this weird friendship starts.

I liked Charlie instantly. He was one of those tough on the outside, but really a big mush when it comes right down to it. Charlie has some major emotional baggage from his past that has made him the man he is today. Closed off. He’s not looking for any kind of relationship and his only friends are his brothers. Ruby was a different story. I wasn’t a huge fan of her flighty personality at first. She seemed to live on a whim, and it felt odd. Yes, she’s got her own serious issues, which I kept trying to factor in with her personality traits.

Along with Charlie and Ruby’s story, there is all kinds of stuff going on around the ranch that gave me the Yellowstone vibes, and drama with his brothers, making this a busy read. The book is well written, however slightly wordy which made it drag in some parts. We were constantly in the heads of the characters instead of moving the storylines along at a better pace. This is the first book of the series, so there’s a lot of set up with the brothers, the townspeople, and the ranch itself. That said, I enjoyed the book and will most likely come back to the ranch to see what the other Mongomery brothers have going on.

MEET AVA HUNTER.

AVA HUNTER is a strong believer in black coffee, red wine, and the there's-only-one-bed trope. She writes contemporary romance with healthy amounts of angst where the damsels are never quite damsels, but the men they love (good, bad and rugged) are always there for them. Her first series, Nashville Star, centers on sexy country singers and their honky-tonk drama-filled lives.

Ava is married to her high school sweetheart, loves writing strong, stubborn women that only make their men fall harder, adores all things pink, and can never ever get enough of protector romance.
