[Release Blitz + Review] The Problem with Dating by Brittainy Cherry

The Problem with Dating by Brittainy Cherry is now live!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

If I had to choose a person to hate, Alex Ramírez would've been first on the list...

Welcome to Honey Creek, Illinois, where life was as sweet as the town's name suggested. That was, until Mr. Fine Dining himself, Alex Ramírez, rolled into town with a permanent scowl and decided to park his snooty five-star restaurant across from my cozy dog daycare. He was tall, dark, and about as warm as a frozen entrée.

After one too many unpleasant interactions, I was determined to stay out of his way and to keep him out of mine.

But fate had a quirky sense of humor. When Alex inherited his great-aunt's cranky canine, he had no choice but to come to me, the local dog whisperer, for help. As for me? I needed a fake boyfriend to ward off my ex-husband, who was determined to win me back.

So, we struck a deal: I'd turn his dog into the town's best-behaved pet, and in return, he'd be my arm candy for a few family events and social gatherings. Simple, uncomplicated, and absolutely not romantic—at least, that was what we told ourselves.

As we played house, I couldn't help but notice that underneath Alex's prickly shell was a dash of charm that wasn't listed in the ingredients. Our pretend dates started to feel a little too real. And our feigned kisses? They were getting laughably close to crossing the line. Suddenly our interactions felt less like a food fight and more like foreplay.

With every playful touch and lingering glance, I couldn't help but wonder: Was this fake relationship with Alex secretly penning its own authentic ending? Or was I risking it all for something that was nothing more than make-believe?

MY REVIEW.

5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent Start to the Series!

In the Problem With Dating, Brittainy Cherry introduces readers to three sisters that couldn’t be more different personality-wise and the small town where they reside, Honey Creek. It’s just outside of bustling and busy Chicago, however it’s a little town that takes you back in time.

I was a big fan of both Yara and Alex right off the bat. They had that witty bander relationship, which is one I enjoy. Yara was the glass half full, while Alex was half empty and turned into a black hole. To say the guy is bitter is putting it mildly. So of course, the whole goal is for Yara to get Alex to come to the light side and boy was that an entertaining trip. Alex has a troubling past that makes him wonder every day why he decided to set up shop in Honey Creek. He’s not a fan, but family obligations (and Yara) keep him there.

As the first book in the series, we are pretty much introduced to the entire town, which doesn’t consist of many people. One of them being Yara’s ex-husband that tends to be a thorn in both her and Alex’s side. I liked the smidge of upset he caused in this otherwise angst-free, closed door read.

The book is well written, and I loved the opposites attract, fish out of water, small town feel to it. You can tell every character introduced is going to be some part of the story down the line. Yara and her sisters Avery and Willow are best friends, however live very different lifestyles that will be interesting to read about. Avery’s book was set up to be next and you can count on me going back to Honey Creek.
