[Release Blitz + Review] Pine River by Tijan

Pine River by Tijan is now live!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

Pine River was supposed to be a new start for me.

And it was, especially attending school with my three overprotective cousins, who were the triplets at the top of the social hierarchy.
Except they weren't alone there, and the first day when I came to school, I saw him.

Scout Raiden.
Tall. Lean. Tattooed. Mesmerizing.
He was a golden god with dark and piercing eyes—looking like he wanted to eat me up.

The feeling was mutual, and that was a problem.
It was lust-want-must have-loathing-hate all at once. I was affected.
And I couldn't have that. No way.
Not after what I'd just left in Cedra Valley.

I didn't care how much money his uncle had.
I didn't care that it seemed every girl wanted him.
I didn't care about his reputation as an up-and-coming fighter.
Or the promise of how those hands would make me feel.

What I did care about was staying as far away from Scout as possible.
Because the promise of his presence, the heat that was going to turn the light back on in my world wasn't a promise at all.
It was a threat.

I wasn't going to survive Scout Raiden.

She Gets Me Every Time

Man, do I love me a good Tijan read! There’s nothing better than her young and rich characters with way too much time on their hands and little parental supervision, so they end up in nothing but trouble.

As the blurb says, Ramsay is looking for a fresh start after some pretty heavy $hit went down in the town she previously lived in. She’s now in a new town and attending the same school as her cousins “the triplets” and their best friend Scout. Now, all these kids are written way above high school, especially since Scout has a sleeve tattoo, at eighteen, in high school. I was trying to explain to my friend that I was having a hard time with this book as it contains some steamy scenes and again, we’re in high school. The only explanation I came up with, so I could keep reading without feeling “weird’ was for this kind of drama to go down, we needed a lower level of maturity. That said, the drama was insane with Ramsay and Scout, as well as the rest of the story lines.

I liked these characters, didn’t love them. They each had their annoying qualities about them; however, it wasn’t enough to turn me away. The protectiveness of the family is what I really liked. Whether it was the triplets protecting their cousin, Ramsay protecting her mom or Scout protecting Ramsay, they each kept an eye on one another. Including the gaggle of friends Ramsay ends up making at the new school.

The book is angst, steam and action packed with all kinds of stuff going on with the main characters, as well as the supporting characters. This is pure Tijan fantasy world writing, taking readers on a wild ride. I wasn’t sure how things were going to end up and started to worry, however it is a standalone and I still don’t know how I feel about the end even as I write this.

Tijan is back with a brand new book y'all, and it feels like it's been a while since I've been submerged into her world and guess what? It was SOOOOO good being back. Tijan has quite a way with her words and characters and y'all, this was good good.

Pine River gives us Scout and Ramsey's story and I promise you aren't ready for these two and the story they laid out. This beauty right here hooked me hard and fast and I didn't put their complicated romance down until long after the pages quit turning.

I really really really hope this becomes a series of standalones aaaaand that we get to revisit some of the characters we met along the way.. and these two.

This really felt like a more old school Tijan feel... y'all and I couldn't get enough.

I can't recommend this author enough y'all.
