Good Final Book for This Couple.

In Restless Rockstar, Gina Azzi gives Allegra and Derek one last chance to get through all the emotional baggage they both carry from each other and their families. This review may contain spoilers from the second book.

We pick up right where we left off, with Allegra and Derek apart, yet communicating through email, all the while she’s keeping her secret to herself. Well not really, she’s told her brother Levi and of course her friends. So really, it’s only Derek in the dark and I was glad. The dude is a mess and didn’t need this extra pressure now.

They keep up the email communication, each reading how the other is doing, all the while working on themselves. Him with his relationship, or non-relationship with his dad and her with school, her job and non-relationship with her parents. I thought this was an odd addition to the story line, however it worked well in the end.

While still not a huge fan of this couple, they were annoying, but I was glad to see them both mature this time around. They are the kind of couple that likes to take the long, miscommunicating road to a happy ending. Most of the time I figured they wouldn’t make it. There was everything including the kitchen sink going on with them and around them, I once again thought calling it quits may be their best option.

The book is well written, and I was glad for Allegra and Derek’s friends and family so present in the story. It really helped move things along. Gina Azzi put these characters through the ringer, and I appreciated the extra angst at times. Reckless Rockstar is a good final book for this couple complete with a peek into the future.
