[Release Blitz + Review] Liars and Liaisons by Sav R. Miller

She is forbidden; disinterested while she admires the flaws of another.
Though that will not stop me from having her.

Liars and Liaisons by Sav R. Miller is NOW LIVE!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

I met his brother first—while trying to avoid mine.
By the time the agoraphobic, unhinged, and musically-gifted Grayson James came crashing into my life, I was deeply infatuated with his elder sibling.
But that didn’t stop him from ruining everything.

He stole something that wasn’t his to have.
Something I hadn’t known I was giving him.
After realizing he was unsatisfied with that little taste, he wanted more.
Wanted me.

Now, he’s asked me to keep him company while he hides out in his family’s rustic, mountainside estate.
Blackmailed me really.
Unfortunately, I need the money.
The escape.

It’s not like I have much of a choice.
Grayson is determined to keep me around, as if my presence will assist him in rediscovering his passions.
And perhaps unmask a few dark ones of my own.

MY REVIEW.

4.5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Different Read for Me.

Well, I’m not sure what his genre is, but I think I like it. Sav R. Miller has a way with words, and I enjoyed her writing style. This last book of the Monsters & Muses series features Grayson James and Violet. This is the only book in the series that I’ve read, and this review will be vague to protect the storylines.

Grayson James is odd and a little scary when it comes right down to it. His muse is dead, and somebody is going to pay. He’s a college professor on sabbatical, using his time off to exact revenge on two of his family members. Sounds awful, but honestly this entire family sounds awful. In this quest for revenge, he comes across the innocent Violet and instantly wants her, whether she’s his brother’s girlfriend or not.

As desperate as Grayson was, Violet was in her own way as well. She’s young and carrying a heavy burden for her family. A burden that nobody but her father knows about. She seems like a smart cookie; however desperate people do desperate things. Violet quickly finds herself in the home of Grayson James and has no clue what to do next.

“Violet Artinos is not only a pawn, but also an alibi.”

While he was written dark, Grayson has an instantly noticeable soft side, especially when it comes to Violet. He’s not one for expressing his feelings really unless it’s rage. I wasn’t a huge fan of the insta-love/lust, but also don’t know if Violet was around in previous books for Grayson to have already met her. Violet was written naΓ―ve; however, her claws came out when they needed to.

“A father’s anger never leaves you. It molds and shapes with its heat and volume for the rest of your life.”

That is Grayson’s problem, his father. Well, along with his brother, which is why Violet was the perfect pawn in this James family game. A dirty, vicious game featuring a devious family that now I’m interested to learn more about…even though I already know how it’s going to end.

The book is well written and again, I enjoyed the writing style of the author. Very descriptive and beautiful for such an ugly subject. It seems to have wrapped up the series, but again, it’s the only book of the series that I’ve read, shame on me. While dark, it’s not super dark per say, however very descriptive gore if you will. Liars & Liaisons reads as a standalone, although I always felt like I was missing something. It also has a nice epilogue to wrap things up.
