[Release Blitz + Review] The Coldest Winter by Brittainy Cherry

THE COLDEST WINTER by Brittainy Cherry is NOW LIVE!!

ABOUT THE BOOK.

I didn’t know he was forbidden until after our one night stand…

I met Milo Corti during his self-destructive era, and he met me at the beginning of mine. That night when we crossed paths at a college party, we only had one goal: to feel good during our hell storms.

After we parted ways, I’d planned never to see him again. That was until I showed up for my first day as a student-teacher and found him sitting right there before me. Now I was forced to cross paths with the person meant to be nothing more than a fading memory.

The more time we spent together, the more drawn I felt toward him. When his world shifted for the worst, I couldn’t help but to lean in closer.

I’d always done the right thing. For the first time ever, I wanted to do something very wrong. I wanted to fall in love with the one person who was off-limits.

The problem with falling for something forbidden? Once you began to descend, you were destined to crash and burn.

MY REVIEW.

4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet and Sad.

Another beautiful, heart wrenching Brittainy Cherry read and I’m here for it! She is an author that can take you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride. In the Coldest Winter, we are introduced to Milo and Starlet, two people that are brough together at the perfect time in their lives…if only it were that easy.

“He dressed like midnight and moved like stone. Everything seemed concentrated about him.”

That would be Milo, the guy that is nineteen going on thirty. Milo is a little boy lost, he’s been in total grief for the past year after losing his mother and at yet another frat party, looking for yet another random to lose himself in, he meets Starlet. She is a twenty-one-year-old going on sixty. Starlet’s life is perfectly planned, until it isn’t. Talked into going to the same frat party to let loose a bit, she meets Milo. They agree to a no names one nighter and the blurb tells us what happens next.

“You noticed that in people when you were hurting yourself-how their pain mirrored your own.”

They were drawn to each other and now must control that attraction when they find themselves in a student/teacher situation. While not as dire as it could be, they are technically student/teacher and need to move forward as such. I liked both Milo and Starlet and they seemed to fit perfectly with their imperfections. There is a lot going on for these two besides the obvious. At times Milo acted like the kid he was, and Starlet moved into the mother role, which I found slightly disconcerting at times.

“One day, I’m going to love you out loud, at it will be the best day of my life.”

The book is well written and trust me when I say it's full of all the emotions. Brittainy Cherry has the odds stacked against this young couple right out of the gate. Along with Milo and Starlet, we have their friends and family to add humor and angst rounding the story out. The Coldest Winter reads as a standalone with a nice epilogue.

MEET BRITTAINY CHERRY.

BRITTAINY CHERRY has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing. She loves to take part in writing screenplays, acting, and dancing--poorly of course. Coffee, chai tea, and wine are three things that she thinks every person should partake in! Brittainy lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When she's not running a million errands and crafting stories, she's probably playing with her adorable pets.
