The problem with Wake was that he was understandable. He was the type of villain that literally scared the absolute shit out of you because you knew that under the right circumstances, you could end up exactly like him.
Which, sadly, was the case for me.
I’d done the exact same thing as Wake, and now I was a murderer just like him.
Did I know that I did wrong? Hell yes.
Did I regret that? Hell no.
Did I plan on changing a thing? Also, no.
Was I falling in love with a man that should scare the shit out of me? A resounding hell yes.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, danger, and heartbreak.
This is Dutch and Wake’s story. Wake is in prison for killing a bunch of pedophiles. Wake needs his brand of help and goes and sees him. When he gets out, he comes to see her. But she gets freaked out I mean she went to him about something, and he is suddenly all around. He is building a better relationship with his daughter since he has been out. When more kids in Wakes practice need help and they help them, or will they lose everything is they do? This couple has a lot to overcome but they seem up for any challenge. A few unanswered questions about the story but as with series books you have to continue reading for more on the issues the family faces.
I highly recommend this book.

Nobody Cares Unless You're Pretty is the first in the Gator Bait MC series, giving us Dutch and Wake’s story and y'all, they were all kinds of addicting and unforgettable. Packed to the brims with heart, heat, and an emotional roller coaster.. I couldn't put this book down for a single moment and when it was over, I wanted to start their journey all over again.
Well y'all, Lani certainly has a way with her words.. a formula she uses to write and it just works for me in all the ways. I can't wait for the next in this series or really the next new LLV book.
I highly recommend this book.
