The story has laughs, second chances, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Rebecca and Mitchell’s story. Mitch left town over 30 years ago when hurtful words were spoken between him and his girl. Now years later he is back in town to see about a second chance. Rebecca and Mitchell were in love but when he wants to enlist words were spoken and he left. She moved on and got married and had a few kids. But she never forgot him or his love. Now he’s back in town but she has a secret. When that secret accidently comes out things go a little crazy. Can these two when were in love and are still drawn to each other build a future after that big of a secret? Or was this the end of them?

Kait Nolan is back with her Bad Boy Bakers series with a brand new book. This was a second chance romance that was more than thirty years in the making and I was here for allllllll the words.

Caught Up with the Captain gives us Rebecca and Mitchell’s story and y'all, this beauty was quite the book. Packed to the brims with all the heart, heat, and soooo many old feelings resurfacing in a big kind of way.. Nolan takes her readers on a journey riddled with ups, downs, complications from the past, and quite a few unforgettable moments.

I've not read every book in this series but I had no issues following along with the ones I have. I've definitely added the others to my tbr.

I totally recommend this book y'all.
