After being told my career as a player is over, the owner of Florida Fury grants me a shot to stay in the game. A coaching position I didn't know I wanted until it was offered. The catch? He's also passing the family business down to his daughter.

Loved These Two!!

As book number six comes and goes, Piper Rayne does a great job with these in the spotlight characters, as well as the past character's role in the story line. There's nothing better than a series continuing on in my eyes.

It was insta-like for me with Kane. He was tough on the outside, but a big ball of love when it came right down to it. The toughness was what he thought Jana wanted/needed for him to sick around. Kane is at the end of his game which is tough for any athlete, however moving from player to coach isn't a walk in the park either. That plus the fact he wants more from Jana makes this guy quite the mess.

Jana is daddy's little rich girl in everybody's eyes, even Kane's at first. She's an only child whose father owns a hockey team and hands it to her. Girl has a lot to prove in her own mind and with her rigorous "everybody's watching you because of who you are" upbringing, there is no time for shenanigans or a steady man in her life. Kane fits the sex with no strings perfectly.

You can see right off the bat that these two have lots of emotional baggage to overcome, as well as try and run a hockey team together with the sexual tension so thick you can cut it with a knife. I knew right away I was going to enjoy the push and pull of Jana and Kane. Both so stubborn, yet really looking for love.

The book is well written and again, I do love how all characters are involved this far down the road. Piper Rayne made sure to check all the boxes with Jana and Kane, keeping the story line interesting from beginning to end. Speaking of end, looks like Kane's brother is up next with a gal from his past. Offside With #55 reads well as a stand alone, but is way more fun read within the series.
