🔥🔥HOT NEW RELEASE🔥🔥
BRIGHT LIKE MIDNIGHT by J. Wolf is LIVE!!
ABOUT THE BOOK.
Make no mistake, Zadie Night, I am the bad guy here.
The first time I laid eyes on Amir Vasquez, he held me hostage in my dorm.
You made me a promise.
I swore to myself my second year at Savage U would be different from the last. No more hiding from things that go bump in the night. I’m dating now. Making friends. Living my life.
But then someone starts leaving me notes and whispering my name in the dark, scaring me right back into my shell.
Are you my pet?
I’m shy and soft. Amir is dominant and hard. He stole a kiss once, and then he left me.
I should stay far away from him. But you know what they say about the devil you know…
Do I own you?
Amir will protect me, but not without cost.
I’m his, to do with as he pleases.
He thinks it’s a punishment.
But what he doesn’t know is I haven’t stopped thinking about him since he was my captor.
No one’s going to hurt you.
I’m safe from harm if I’m with him, because he’s the biggest bad on campus.
Show me your whole universe.
And somewhere along the way, he became my haven, too.
You should be scared of me.
I can’t believe I’ve fallen for the villain.
(AUTHOR'S NOTE: Bright Like Midnight is a dark college romance that explores mature themes and dubious situations. If you're looking for a nice guy hero, this story isn't for you!)

MY REVIEW.
4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mixed Emotions With This Book.
While I was excited to see what in the heck was going on with Zadie and Amir, when we left them at Savage U in that dorm room, I wasn't too sure I liked Amir all that much. We got to see a side of him in Soft Like Thunder, however I'd hoped that side was a front and he was a teddy bear underneath all that gangster.
"My bark was quiet, but my bite could be wicked."
Zadie was a favorite of mine from the fist book, because she was quirky and owned it. Her suitemate Helen protected her, however you could tell she didn't really need it. Zadie and Amir had a moment in Zadie's dorm room as she was held as collateral for Helen's debt. As a bit of a shy girl, the dark Amir intrigued her and after some time, she realized she could have something with him if she wanted to.
"You and me, we're some kind of prince and princess out of a twisted fairytale."
Amir, Amir, Amir, why in the world do you come off as such a jackass?? I so wanted to like him right off the bat, but dude made it difficult. The whole "I own you" trip he was on go really old really fast. I wanted him to drop the act and be a good guy for Zadie, she deserved it. However that would have been the easy way out for Julia Wolf. Nope, she teased us right along with Zadie, giving us glimpses of what Amir could be, but wasn't. Annoying.
"I was stuck here, caught between the present and the future. My future"
Amir has some big decisions to make, ones that would have been completely different if Zadie weren't in the picture. I love that while he was dark per say, but he was also smart. His dealings on the side were for family, he really had plans for his future that didn't include his brother's business. Amir really was quite the dichotomy when I think about it now.
"He lived a lot of his life in the jet black of midnight, but he himself was bright."
The book is well written and like I said, a difficult read for me to define. I felt the ownership thing went on way too long and I would have liked to see Amir and Zadie solidify some sort of a real relationship sooner in the story. Also with a second in the series, I wanted a little more Helen and Elena for some humor amidst all the angst. Bright Like Midnight was a great addition to the series, answering all of the burning questions we had about Amir and Zadie.
