Wow. What a journey... that is definitely not over. The blurb hooked me into this book and got me interested. What I thought I was getting versus what was delivered was on a whole 'nother level y'all. Intense, emotional, steamy, forbidden, unexpected in so many moments, unforgettavle every step of the way. An age gap, grumpy/sunshine romance that'll dig at your heart, tear it WIDE open and it's the hope the next book will begin to seal us back up with a happy ending I'm desperately hoping for.

"I thought our love story was written in the stars; destined, remarkable, once in a lifetime. Turns out we’re nothing but a memory gone up in flames, ashes scattered in the wind."

This quote does a good job summing up this love story.. right to the very last word. Salem and Thayer were the most complicated pair I've experienced in quite a while y'all... I mean for the whole book but gahhhhh. My heart. THAT. ENDING. I was left with my jaw ON THE FLOOR. I am dying to get my hands on the next book in this duet. 

I highly, so highly recommend this book but if cliffy's aren't your thing, then buy it now and wait the short time for the next book. But yall this book? So, so, so very worth it.

I highly recommend this book.

MICALEA SMELTZER is a twenty-something author from Northern Virginia. She has four dogs, which is as crazy as it sounds. As a recent kidney transplant recipient she's dedicated to raising awareness around the effects of kidney disease, dialysis, and transplant as well as educating people on living donation. When she's not writing you can catch her with her nose buried in a book.
