This book pulls you right in and keeps you turning the pages. The story has laughs, grief, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

This is Veronica and Riggs’s story. Riggs is considered a loner on the team. He spends his time practicing and with his sister. But in order to be involved with the team he knows he has to start stepping out. His sister also needs some good role models. He gets her a job at a bookstore. Veronica has been through a lot with her ex. She is working on going to school and ends up being friends with Riggs’s sister. When Riggs needs someone to keep an eye on his sister Veronica steps up. But they have major sparks. That pulls them to each other. But what happens if they explore that side of a relationship? Will it hurt them and his sister? Can they build a future together? What happens when Riggs’s past shows up to try and ruin his future? Will his team and Veronica stick with him even when all the secrets come out?
I highly recommend this story, and this author.
