Autumn Archer’s CALL OUT is an emotionally charged, sexy, romantic suspense written in K. Bromberg’s Everyday Heroes World project and ITS LIVE!!!!!!!
ABOUT THE BOOK.
Don’t date men who ride motorcycles. That’s what my late grandmother always told me.
Then I met Danny Rocco. The hot paramedic who’s new in town. Since he patched up my knee at the side of the road, I can’t stop thinking about him. That efficiently organized backpack. The scent of leather. Manly, caring hands, and his eyes. WOW, a girl could rapidly lose her virginity staring into those amber pools.
So when he shows up at Blossom Grove Retirement Home, where I work, to assist with a medical emergency, I realize there’s more to the ruggedly handsome man than just an Indian motorcycle.
Should I break the dating rules? I’ve never gone that far with a guy before and Danny would be my first. He doesn’t mind my quirky pet names for his love stick. And boy, when I finally discover how good that thing feels, I can’t stop craving it.
Falling for a guy on the wrong list has never felt so right. Every night spent in his bed brings us closer together. But over time, I get the feeling he’s hiding something. Then he leaves town for a few days without telling me why. Danny has a secret and I’ll find out the truth one pop quiz at a time.
Except life has a way of throwing curve balls. And by the time he gets back to Sunnyville, mine has irrevocably changed. I should have known happy endings were only in the movies.
Once I finally learn the truth, I’ll need my handsome medic to fix our hearts back together again. If it’s not too late.

MY REVIEW.
3.5 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐⭐⭐
I Really Tried
Reading several Everyday Heroes World books I know exactly what to expect, a hunky hero falling head over heels for a girl that in his mind, isn't quite good enough for him. Hero or not. Autumn Archer doesn't break tradition with her hero Danny and his girl Vivian.
Our man Danny is a paramedic with a past that haunts him daily, which is why he pretty much goes to work and then home. No friends, girlfriend or social life for him. In his mine there is no room for happiness in his life, nor does he deserve it. Yes, our hero has some heavy stuff to work out from his past.
Speaking of heavy, Vivian is the exact opposite. The girl is light and full of sunshine and naivety and weird one liners and I sure had a hard time liking her. She was twenty one, but at times felt like she was written as if she was sixteen. She has a good job managing a nursing home and seems to handle that like an adult, however when it comes to life outside the facility, she's like a newborn calf wobbling around. I wasn't a fan of her character.
Naturally, dark and light collide and Vivian is exactly what Danny needs to move on from his past, a past that he keeps a secret until he can't any longer. I really liked Danny and what he had going on, it made for the angsty read I enjoy, however Vivian never grew on me.
The book is well written and fits in the Everyday Heroes World nicely. As with the others, it reads as a standalone with nice closure for the characters.
