[Blog Tour + Review] Broken Hearts by M. O'Keefe

πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ BROKEN HEARTS (Hearts #2) by M. O’Keefe is NOW LIVE!!!!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

BLURB.

Ronan.

His name thrums through me like a heartbeat.

I climbed out of the smoldering crater of my life only to find myself back in the middle of a slow-motion trainwreck. I’m hunted, torn between my past and present, ripped apart by two warring families. My husband is dead, and his killer is the only man who’s ever felt the deep well of emotion I keep hidden from the world.

Ronan.

Vicious and scarred—his rough touch is seared into my skin, but his soft caresses are what break down my walls bit by bit. Until there’s only me left. My soul in his bloody hands, and my broken heart beating just for him. Only him.

Ronan.

My shadowy protector, my phantom lover—kiss me or kill me, I don’t care. As long as you’re the one who does it.

MY REVIEW.

4 Stars from Tiffany!
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Started with the Second Book

For some reason I didn't realize this was a second book in a series, but you know what, I was ok with that. Lost for the first few pages, M. O'Keefe did a nice job at filing in the blanks and moving on with the story of Poppy and Ronan.

Ronan. Love that name and love his Irish Brogue even more. I'm such a dork I read those lines in my head with the accent. This guy was a puzzle to say the least, but once he got back to where he started, the pieces of Ronan started to come together for Poppy. She knew there was something about this man that both frightened and intrigued her and now she's seeing the what made Ronan who he is today...tough on the outside and a bit of a teddy bear on the inside and sexy as all get out.

"Survival is ugly. But Surviving is a thing of beauty."

While I'm not too clear on Poppy's upbringing, it seems like her young adult life is/was a disaster and even though Ronan has her now, there is still trouble brewing back home. Very messy and very interesting. She's a survivor it sounds like and is ready to keep moving forward to figure this mess of a life out and wants to do that with Ronan by her side.

"With him around, no one would get close to me. But I would never get close to him."

The book is well written, funny, sexy and angsty. M. O'Keefe did a nice job with her characters and supporting characters. The story continues in a third book to get all of our questions answered and I'll be looking for it.
