I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak.

This is Dakota and Macon’s story. Dakota has some baggage from her past. She is trying to get her life together but she is a little broken. Macon has his own issues and deals with them the best he can. These two have crazy chemistry but she is worried about letting him into her life. After all he is always bruised up but seems to have made fast friends with her son. Can she trust him? After all she was trusting in the past and look where that got her. What happens when the past comes for them can he protect her? Or will she run because the past wants her back no matter what the cost.
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
